Surgical Procedures
If you are anxious by the idea of having surgery, you are not alone. Many people get nervous, especially if it is their first time. We do all we can to make you feel confident about your surgical experience. You should feel comfortable and assured every step of the way.
Ultrasound

An ultrasound scan uses high frequency sound waves to create an image of the inside of the body in real- time.
This method is used to evaluate and aide in identifying possible ovarian cysts, fibroids, uterine abnormalities and other sources of gynecological pain or abnormal bleeding.
Menopause

A natural decline in the reproductive hormones when a woman reaches her 40s or 50s. Common symptoms include hot flashes, night sweats and vaginal dryness as well as emotional changes.
Interventions include hormone therapy, either estrogen or combination estrogen/progesterone via multiple treatment modalities.

Family Planning & Infertility
Most often, a couple trying to become pregnant will be successful within a six-month period. Within twelve months of unprotected intercourse, there is a 90 percent success rate. If pregnancy does not occur after a year of unprotected sex, a couple can benefit from evaluation for infertility. There are treatments for this problem and we can help you navigate the process.
It is understandable that frustration and concern may occur when becoming pregnant is a challenge. The good news is that modern medicine has effective treatments that may facilitate the end goal.
Infertility consultation may be in order for the woman who:
-
Is over the age of forty
-
Has not conceived after regular, unprotected sex for a six to twelve month time frame
-
Has been diagnosed with a fertility issue
-
Who does not menstruate regularly
-
Has miscarried one or more times
-
Has received some type of cancer treatment
-
Has been diagnosed with endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease
Infertility may occur for one of several reasons. In fact, the challenge presented may be due to either partner, not just the woman. When we can identify a cause, we know which way to progress in terms of treatment.
